Meet the Owners:
My name is Caleb Southerland, my wife,
Misty and I are the owners of Southerland
Steel & Specialties, LLC. We have two boys Kason (16) and Carter (5), as well as our furry kids, Annie and new pup Oliver. My wife and I both were born and raised in Grayson
County and are happy to raise our kids here.
What's the most important to
me in my business:
I enjoy working closely with my customers to ensure their experience with our company during their project is a good one. My hope is that the relationships I gain in my customers are the ones that I grow for years to come.
Experience
I began my career in this industry working in sales at a local metal building/structure company and after 15 years I made a decision to apply the skills I had learned and open my open business; with now 20 years of experience I feel confident that I can help my customer go from the planning and design stage to the final project with ease.

My wife spent most of her working career as a nurse but was excited to branch out and use her interest in design where she can for our customers. When she isn't doing this, she is seamlessly holding the business together by keeping all the boring stuff in order.

I have been involved in every aspect of construction and that experience will allow me to provide you with any project you can imagine. I have developed housing additions, as well as apartment complexes which help me truly understand what it will takes to give you the best foundation possible. I framed with my dad on the weekends since I was twelve so I know just to help get your barndominium to work the way a conventional house would. I have designed and provided the materials for some of the larger companies in the area in order to supply materials for many shops and barndominiums in our area. All of the experience I have as of today was to prepare myself to do jobs turnkey (start to finish) which is what I have strived for since the day I built my first custom staircase many years ago. I truly enjoy giving every customer exactly what they asked for but also using the information and experiences that I have come across over the years to do it as cost efficiently as possible. I look forward to working with you on your project.
